With cruising to the ICC Women’s T20 final undefeated, India Women’s cricket team, under the able leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, will face four-time champions Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 8th March 2020. It is certainly going to be a historic event as more than 70,000 spectators are expected to be present at the stadium in the final match on the day which is also International Women’s Day. Women in Blue are looking good with fearlessness embodied by Shefali Verma, who is hitting the ball to her will and scorched her path to immense success Down Under. Batting doyens Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaun are one big knock away from showing again their prowess and they must be hoping to do so when it matters the most. The spin trio of Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, and Radha Yadav are all geared-up to hoodwink Australia again.

Australia, the defending champions, has overcome the lackluster performance against India in the opening match and has looked very impressive since. They have a history of transforming themselves in the final stage of the tournament and it’s their ability to cope with the pressure that makes them one of the best teams of the game. The match is bound to be a close fight and history is sure to be created in Melbourne this Sunday!
